Meet The Team
At Around The Block Healthcare, our dedicated team is passionate about providing compassionate, patient-centered care. Leading our clinical team is Michael "Mikey" Mehl, RN-BSN, HCM, an experienced Registered Nurse and Practice Manager with a strong background in urgent care and emergency medicine. Jane Mehl, FNP, PMHNP, serves as our Lead Provider, specializing in family and psychiatric mental health care. Aubrie Plautz, our Office Manager, is committed to comprehensive sex education and community support. Regina Dunnock, a Medical Assistant and CNA, brings a decade of experience in hospice and nursing facilities. Family Nurse Practitioner Jacklyn Hardin enriches our team with her expertise in maternal-fetal care and mental health. Lastly, Yagelis Pichardo, a Masters-Level Clinician and Trauma Specialist, focuses on trauma-informed, holistic healing. Together, we strive to promote resilience and deliver quality healthcare tailored to each patient’s unique journey.

Michael Mehl (Mikey) RN-BSN, HCM
Registered Nurse, Practice ManagerExcelsior College-Associates Degree in Nursing, Excelsior College Bachelor of Science Degree in Healthcare Management. Pueblo Community College- Associate Degree in Nursing, Western Governors University Bachelor Science Degree in Nursing- A military brat who grew up in Hawaii and Washington State. He joined the Air Force at 18 years old, served as a medic, and became a Paramedic. He became a practical nurse in 2005. Strong background in Urgent Care, Emergency Medicine, and Internal Medicine. He brings a vast knowledge base of chronic disease management in serving the patient population. He has managed clinics in his career and starts school as a Family Nurse Practitioner in January 2025. He is a full-time Emergency Room Nurse with the Veterans Health Administration. He hopes to be a full-time provider with the practice after he graduates from his nurse practitioner program specializing in urgent care. He is a hobbyist board gamer and enjoys his family, music, and anime.

Jane Mehl, FNP, PMHNP
Lead ProviderWestern Governors University- Bachelor of Science in Nursing – Maryville University- Master of Science in Nursing- Herzing University Post Masters Certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner is a Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner originally from Ukraine. She has fulfilled her dream of becoming an American. Her previous degree includes a Master's in international business management; however, she felt a passion for a healthcare career. She graduated with her bachelor's in nursing in 2018, her master's in nursing in 2021, and a postmaster in 2023. Her work experience includes positions in the local hospital's trauma, neuro, and orthopedic unit as a registered nurse. As a nurse practitioner, she has focused on primary care, addiction medicine, pain management, and mental health. Patient-focused care coupled with the nursing process are the cornerstones of her practice. She enjoys hanging with her husband, their children, and cat Wasabi in her home life. She enjoys hiking, biking, swimming (when she has time), her friends, music, reading, and philosophy.

Aubrie Plautz
Office ManagerAssociate of Applied Science in Health Care Administration - Pima Medical Institute- Bachelor of Social Work - Grand Canyon University- Sex Coach & Consultant Certification - Sexual Health Alliance. Aubrie is our office manager and front office training supervisor. She is an undergraduate BSW student with plans to pursue her Advanced Standing MSW at Grand Canyon University and a certificate student at Sexual Health Alliance. Her goal is to practice with ATBH as an AASECT-certified sex therapist, specializing in problematic sexual behaviors, obsessive-compulsive sexual behaviors, and sex offender management. Her passions include comprehensive sex education, community violence reduction, and supporting our patients as they re-enter their communities in healthy, positive ways. She is NAMI Southeast Colorado's former Vice President and a student member of NASW and AASECT.

Regina Dunnock (Gina)
Medical Assistant, Certified Nursing AssistantGina has been in the healthcare field for ten years. Within those ten years, she has worked in hospice and nursing facilities and, with her previous company, oversaw their drug and alcohol program for El Paso County. Her passion in life is to take care of people. She is a trained. I have a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license and will soon go to school to get my CCMA certificate. I have experience with Ketamine therapy along with giving injections. She will train to onboard medical assistants as our practice grows and will be certified in transcranial magnetic stimulation. She enjoys traveling to different countries.

Jacklyn Hardin, FNP
Family Nurse PractitionerJackie is a Family Nurse Practitioner who started her career as an RN in a rural hospital; she learned quickly that she enjoyed working in every department and moved between ICU, OB, and ER routinely.
She moved to Colorado in 2012 and took a similar position on the Western Slope. After a few years, she settled in the OB/NICU, where she became the lead educator of the neonatal resuscitation program and developed algorithms for improving maternal and fetal outcomes.
During this time, she obtained her bachelor's in Nursing before completing her master's degree in Nursing with a focus on Family Practice. She has worked in a rural combined urgent care, family practice, mental health, and substance abuse. She believes communication is critical to obtaining good outcomes and enjoys getting to know her patients and their personal goals.

Yagelis (Ja-hel-is) Pichardo, M.A.
